๑ Music of Spheres Preview

From the Artist
Music Of The Spheres By Mike Oldfield

In this world, everything has a pulse or a vibration. This sound is unique to each living or non living thing and in itself creates a music that no-one can hear. I believe that this has a very powerful resonance with, and a deep effect, on our lives. What would happen if we took this further and apply this to bigger things , more powerful things ; like an entire solar system or galaxy say, what would that sound like?

Musica Universalis is the ancient theory that every celestial body, the sun, the moon and the stars has an inner music. This is a harmonic and mathematical concept derived from the movements of the planets in the solar system. The music created is inaudible to the human ear.

Music of the Spheres is my interpretation of this theory. Every planet and every star; even the whole universe has music within it that no-one can hear, this is what it would sound like if it was set free. This is Music of the Spheres.

Mike Oldfield.

Music of the Spheres is the confirmed title of the forthcoming album by English musician Mike Oldfield. The UK release date has been set as January 2008. It is also to be the first classical recording released on a USB flash drive. Hayley Westenra is featured vocalist on one track. The album also features Lang Lang on piano

Here is a small preview of the whole album, track parts were crossfaded in order so you will get a glimpse of what this new album will be from the beginning. If you haven't heard it yet, hope you enjoy...I did! Cheers

I have enjoyed your blog for almost a year now, maybe more, and I thank you for it. I want to draw your attention of rarities you may not have. Here is the link if you wish to check it out. Perhaps there is something on it you may wish to offer others here on your blog. http://www.arrian.nl/MikeOldfield/no_MO_music_to_find_here/ also, there is a fan remix album of Millenium. However, other then it being remixed, there is a rare track of Sunlight shining through cloud untouched, called Pray. This version was dropped by M.O. (had rap on it). Other tracks are untouched too, but some are remixed. Worth hearing just for the untouched track versions that was not used in the final issued release. http://www.darkpadawan.tubularbells2003.com/. Keep up the great blog.

Just a note: Besides the "Normal" Orchestral Tubular Bells" There was a live performance of it with much more guitars. I have the normal release of Orchestral Tubular Bells, and I also have Part 2 of the live version, and only about 5 minutes worth of part 1. If you ever come across the LIVE version of Orchestral Tubular Bells, I would appreciate it if you post it. Your site is incredible, and I check it every day. Enjoy your holidays.

Hi all,

I have been away from this site for quite a while now, for two reasons, rarities are not forever, and i have been working on other stuff. However i do hope to put something new here, but that time is not on my sight yet, so i hope to have your understanding and enjoy what you got available. For those that have been requesting reposts, i have to tell them that i no longer can support them but i do accept any efforts made by thirds into that matter, this means i will accept any comment made with the effort of helping others here. That is all folks, take care, and free hugs to everybody :)
